Study Abroad & National Student Exchange

Going to college close to home doesn't mean you can't experience another part of the country or even the world. Our study abroad connections and the National Student Exchange give you the opportunity to study at hundreds of colleges and universities across the country or around the globe.

Why participate?

Learn more about study abroad or the National Student Exchange. Programs are available for a summer, a semester, or even an academic year. Participants earn full credit at Illinois State for their studies. There are participating institutions in 16 countries, 48 of the 50 states, and in Guam, Puerto Rico, and Washington, D.C.

Exchange program information

Study Abroad gives students the opportunity to live and learn in another country.

National Student Exchange allows students to study at any one of nearly 200 U.S. colleges and universities.
