Apply for Financial Aid & Scholarships
Your academic profile, your family's finances, and many other factors determine the scholarships and financial aid for which you qualify.
Apply for financial aid
To apply for financial aid, submit your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online. The Illinois State University school code is 001692. Our preferential filing date is March 1. If you apply by this deadline, you will receive your award notice in early April. You can check your financial aid status online in Welcome2ISU or once you have registered for courses using My.IllinoisState.edu.
The Financial Aid Office will assist you if you have questions about your FAFSA, the financial aid process, or your award.
Check out scholarships
Our Scholarship Resource Office posts scholarship information and application deadlines. Also, many departments, programs, and schools at Illinois State have limited scholarship or tuition waiver funds. Visit your intended program’s website to learn more.
You will be automatically considered for two highly competetive, merit-based scholarships when you apply. Find out if you are eligible for the Presidential or University Scholarship programs.
