Submit your housing application-contract & choose your meal plan
In late January, University Housing Services will mail a detailed information packet to all students required to live on campus under the University On-Campus Housing policy. This packet will explain how to complete your online housing application-contract and submit your initial payment.
On Tuesday, February 19, 2013, the residence hall application-contract will be available at Welcome2ISU.IllinoisState.edu. This is where you will submit your housing application-contract and submit your initial payment with a credit or debit card. Be sure to read the Housing Contract Terms and Conditions carefully; once your initial payment is received, you have a legally binding housing contract.
The completed housing contract makes you eligible for a space in a residence hall. The earlier you submit your housing contract and initial payment, the more likely you are to be able to select your own room and roommate. You will not select your room at the time you submit your contract. The room selection process begins
in late May.
In mid-May, information will be mailed to you about the room selection process. Consider choosing one of the many Themed Living-Learning Communities offered in the residence halls. Learn more at Housing.IllinoisState.edu. We also encourage students to complete a personal profile, available on the Housing website, to share information with potential roommates.
A majority, but not all incoming students, will select their own room online from late-May until late-
June or early-July. Based on when your contract and initial payment are received, some students will be assigned a room by housing staff.
More information about submitting your housing contract, selecting your space, and cancellation costs is available at Housing.IllinoisState.edu.
Choose your meal plan
Campus Dining Services features two full-service residential dining centers, as well as a variety of retail restaurants throughout campus. Students with meal plans enjoy full access to both of the dining facilities, which feature all-you-care-to-eat style dining. Meal plans offer a variety of options from unlimited access to the dining facilities to a set number of meals per week. In addition, every meal plan includes Flex Dollars, which can be used at restaurants on campus such as Jamba Juice, McAlister’s Deli, Einstein Bros. Bagels, Burger King, Pizza Hut Express, the Business Bistro, the Café at Cardinal Court, and more.
In mid-January, Campus Dining Services will include information about meal plan selection as part of the information packet sent to you by University Housing Services. You can learn more about meal plan selection, cost, and cancellation dates at Dining.IllinoisState.edu.
