Presidential Scholarship

The Presidential Scholarship Program is the most prestigious scholarship program available to new freshmen. Presidential Scholars receive up to $44,000 ($11,000 per year renewable for up to four years).

Recent Presidential Scholars have had an average ACT score of 32 and an average cumulative GPA of 4.0 (or above) on a 4.0 scale.

Students who have been admitted for Fall 2013 and are eligible to compete for the Presidential Scholarship will be contacted by the Office of Admissions no later than the end of December 2012. This select group of students will be contacted by mail, email, and/or phone with details outlining the scholarship process. A separate scholarship application is required.

The deadline to submit the scholarship application is January 7, 2013.

All complete applications will be reviewed by the Scholarship Committee. A select group of students will be invited to move forward to the semi-finalist stage of the competition. Semi-finalists must be available for an on-campus interview in February. Although important information will be mailed to your home address, please also check your email regularly for status updates. The email address submitted on your scholarship application will be the one used for communications.

For more information on this scholarship, please contact the Office of Admissions at (309) 438-2181 or toll-free at (800) 366-2478.

Students who complete the application process for the Presidential Scholarship but are not offered the award will automatically be offered a Redbird Academic Scholarship.

All Presidential Scholarship applicants will be notified of their status no later than mid-March.
