University Scholarship
The University Scholarship Program is one of the most prestigious scholarship programs available to new freshmen and is awarded to academically-talented students from traditionally underrepresented groups or first generation college students who have overcome hardship in achieving their academic goals.
University Scholars receive a $6,000 annual award, renewable for up to four years, for a potential value of $24,000. Recent University Scholars have had an average ACT score of 27 and an average cumulative GPA of 3.85 on a 4.0 scale.
Students who have been admitted for Fall 2013 and are eligible to compete for the University Scholarship will be contacted by the Office of Admissions no later than the end of December 2012. A separate scholarship application is required.
The deadline to submit the scholarship application is January 7, 2013.
Eligible students will be contacted by mail, email, and/or phone with details outlining the scholarship process. Although important information will be mailed to your home address, please also check your email regularly for status updates. The email address submitted on your scholarship application will be used for communications.
All complete applications will be reviewed by the Scholarship Committee by the end of February 2013. For more information on this scholarship, please contact the Office of Admissions at (309) 438-2181 or toll-free at (800) 366-2478.
All University Scholarship applicants will be notified of their status no later than mid-March.
