Congratulations on your acceptance! Now that you have been accepted to the University, the Office of International Studies and Programs will be your main point of contact here. Staff can assist you as you complete the steps you must take to become an Illinois State University student.
Be sure to review your acceptance packet you received when you were admitted (download a copy). For more information, please visit the Office of International Studies and Programs Admitted Student website. Feel free to contact the office if you have questions about immigration, travel, or living in the United States.
Now that you’ve been accepted, be sure to log in and review your to-do list. Official documentation will be required no later than May 1 for summer, July 1 for fall or December 15 for spring semesters. Failure to send your official documents by the deadline will mean that you won’t be able to enroll at the University.
When planning your trip to the U.S., remember you should have about $2,500 USD to cover your initial costs such as food, housing, textbooks, and unexpected expenses that may arise during your first few weeks here. Even students with full scholarships or graduate assistantships should have access to this much money when they arrive.
