Congratulations on your acceptance! After you've been admitted and have submitted your Declaration of Finances, you'll receive your acceptance packet and I-20 form. You will need your I-20 document throughout the immigration process, including when you enter the United States. When you receive your I-20, sign your name and provide other required information at the bottom of page 1.
The Office of International Studies and Programs will be your main point of contact for questions about immigration, travel, or living in the United States or for assistance as you complete the steps you must take to become an Illinois State University student.
Please note: you cannot arrive in the U.S. on your F-1 visa more than 30 days before the program start date listed on your I-20.
Now that you’ve been accepted, be sure to log in and review your to-do list. Official documentation will be required no later than May 1 for summer, July 15 for fall or December 15 for spring semesters. Failure to send your official documents by the deadline will mean that you won’t be able to enroll at the University.
