Reinstatement Information
Students who left Illinois State on probation or who were dismissed from the University have the opportunity to be reviewed for reinstatement. To discuss your eligibility to return to Illinois State, contact the Julia N. Visor Academic Center at (309) 438-7100.
Please be aware that reinstatement to the University is somewhat uncommon. Typically, a reinstated student has suffered an extenuating circumstance which severely impacted their chances for academic success.
Currently enrolled or continuing students and former Illinois State students follow different procedures for reinstatement consideration. If you are currently enrolled or were recently dismissed and you wish to continue your enrollment at Illinois State, see the EMAS website for specific instructions.
If you are a former student who has been away for a semester or more review the process and conditions below.
