Second Bachelor's Degree

A student who has received one bachelor's degree from Illinois State University (or from another college or university accredited for baccalaureate degrees by the appropriate regional accrediting association) may receive a second bachelor's degree at Illinois State University.

A student applying into a second bachelor's program should complete the Undergraduate Application for Admission. An applicant must meet the minimum admission requirements for the specified program in order to be admitted.

The program of study completed for the second degree must include at least 32 semester hours of coursework taken after the granting of the first degree, of which 30 semester hours must be taken in residence at Illinois State. At least 24 of the 32 semester hours taken toward the second degree must be senior college level.
