Are You a Transfer Student?

You are considered a transfer student at Illinois State if you:

  • enrolled at any college or university after graduating from high school whether or not any work was completed; or
  • graduated from high school early, enrolled at another college, and your high school transcript lists January as your graduation date.

If you graduate high school early and your graduation date is listed as May or June, you are considered a new, beginning freshman even if you take courses at another institution.
